The Antionette V. Irving Foundation has created an environment for young people to feel positive about their environment and themselves. Also, a caring and loving environment for our senior and elder members of the community. Helping to build a solid family environment and the foundation for a positive community.

CHRISTMAS/HOLIDAY SHOP

The Holiday season is about the joy of giving. Each December kids from the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club, Chimborazo Elementary School, Martin Luther King Middle School, Armstrong High School and Creighton Court are given the opportunity to Shop at Wal-Mart for hygiene, clothing, gifts and toys.

THANKSGIVING/CHRISTMAS BASKETS AND HOLIDAY MEALS

It was a festive occasion when families of Boys & Girls Club members and seniors/elders of the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club were treated to Holiday meals and baskets . The holidays are a time of eating and giving, we want to ensure that families don’t go without.

SENIOR SAFETY and THANKSGIVING LUNCHEON

Community seniors enjoy a thanksgiving meal while learning about safety from local law enforcement personnel. Over 200 seniors from community churches and organizations along with members of the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club senior group enjoyed a festive afternoon with local community leaders and law enforcement officers while learning about safety.

COMMUNITY AND KIDS DAY

As the spring season sets in it was a time for food fun and celebration for the East End Community. Community and Kids Day at the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club.

Our Mission is to provide the community and kids with a day that will promote pride and family interaction in the East End. A day of reflection and fun for all in the community, a blast from the past connecting with the present in an attempt to empower a better future for the community and its youth.

Our hope is to provide kids with an opportunity to realize their dreams by visioning success through positive role models.  Our goal is to reclaim the community and its youth from violence, delinquency and drugs by showing them positive alternatives

SHOP for a CAUSE

Partnering with Macy*s Department Store for a day of special savings to benefit the youth of our community.

HAVE A HEART   Hoops for Hope Basketball

Our mission is to provide a day that will promote pride along with family and community interaction through  a basketball celebration with participants from area churches and local law enforcement agencies. It will be a day of reflection and fun for everyone through efforts of celebration in an attempt to empower a better future for the community and its youth. Honoring our area student achievers through incentives for scholar performance.

Our hope is to provide kids with an opportunity to realize their dreams by visioning success through positive role models. Our continuing goal is to reclaim the community and its youth from violence, delinquency and drugs by showing them positive alternatives.

WEEKEND of HOPE 

Hoops for Hope basketball and Holes for Hope golf tournament along with Community and Kids weekend celebration.

We will provide a venue that will include golf, softball, basketball, community leaders, area role models, hometown professional athletes and entertainers that will present an atmosphere for our youth to envision success and hope of a future.

Build A Dream (Trip to Disney)

Achieving youth and their families flew to the Wonderful World of Disney in Orlando Florida for 5 days during the summer of 2007.

SENIOR ADULTS take a trip to see the COLOR PURPLE

Seniors enjoy The Color Purple in Maryland.
